Jalapeno poppers
Ingredients
- Jalapenos
- Cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Bacon
- Chives
Directions
- Preheat oven to 220C.
- Remove stems from jalapenos. Slice in half lengthwise.
- Remove seeds and pits from jalapenos.
- Fry bacon until desired level of crispiness.
- Slice bacon into small bits.
- Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits until well combined.
- Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture. Be generous with the filling.
- Lay jalapeno poppers on parchment paper atop a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the jalapeno poppers.
- Bake for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Finish with black pepper and flaky sea salt.
- (Optional) Add some hot sauce for a bit more heat. A fermented jalapeno based hot sauce goes well.
